THE HOUSE CASTRIL
It gets its name from the title of Lordship of Castril, was built in 1539.
Located in the heart Albaicín the Carrera del Darro is a Renaissance palace, it found a beautiful plateresque with coat of arms, shells and other symbols.
The building is on two floors has a large central courtyard and the façade we can see the beautiful entrance and a central balcony. The work is Sebastian de Alcántara.
The House of Castril is one of the finest Renaissance palaces of Granada, in the House of Castril can admire the steps of the porch or wooden frames of some of their roofs.
It houses the Archaeological Museum of Granada, from the early twentieth century and has a large number of archaeological remains dating from prehistoric times to the end of the Middle Ages.
Access is free it is important to visit.
